This soup. We absolutely love it. We make it ALL THE TIME in our crock pot. (Here is the crock pot version.) So, we naturally wanted to convert this recipe to an instant pot recipe as well. The results were fantastic. We love having options now when we want to enjoy one of our favorite low carb soups.

Ingredients for Low Carb Instant Pot Creamy Pizza Soup

  • 1-2 lbs Ground Sausage – Browned
  • 2 Cups Marinara Sauce (We used our favorite low carb sauce.)
  • 14.5 oz Can Beef Broth
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 16 oz  Cream Cheese- Cubed
  • 4 oz  Mushrooms – Drained
  • 2.25 oz Black Olives – Drained
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Cup Mini Pepperoni (or chopped regular pepperoni)
  • Optional- Garnish Mozzarella

How to Make Low Carb Creamy Pizza Soup in an Electric Pressure Cooker

  1. Brown sausage in 6 quart Instant Pot on saute feature.
  2. Add broth to scrape any brown bits off the bottom of the pot and turn off saute feature.
  3. Add remaining ingredients except cream cheese and garnish.
  4. Seal lid and cook on high pressure (with the warming feature off) for 15 minutes.
  5. Naturally release for 15 minutes before turning to quick release.
  6. Stir in cream cheese and serve topped with mozzarella cheese.

Notes for Low Carb Instant Pot Creamy Pizza Soup

  • If eating low carb, make sure to read labels. Marinara can drastically change the carb count. This is the lowest carb marinara I have been able to find. It is pricey, but it tastes amazing.
  • If you enjoy sausage as much as we do, make sure to use 2 lbs to make your soup extra meaty. If you are a pepperoni fan instead, use 1 lb and double up your pepperoni.
  • We calculated this recipe to be approximately 3 net carbs per serving using the ingredients we used. As with any of our recipes, carb counts and nutritional information varies greatly depending on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish.
  • You can find more electric pressure cooker recipes with our Recipe Finder.
  • Check out all our favorite recommendations for cookbooks, slow cookers and low carb essentials in our Amazon Influencer Shop.
  • As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish.
  • Finally, all electric pressure cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own electric pressure cooker and time adjusted as needed.

Is there anything I can use as a sub for the marinara as I never see it and dont go to town often? I have no idea what marinara is or tastes like but if its like a tomato type sauce it would be easier to figure a sub but I have no idea as I am not familiar with it. Thanks for any help. Recipe sounds great!
