How to Make Chicken Cracklins in an Air Fryer
Cris here.
Truth be told, this is one of those recipes that I absolutely love, but would rarely take the time to set out to just make because of the time involved. But when I have leftover chicken skin from other recipes, man-oh-man! There is nothing better than a batch of these Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Chicken Cracklins. My family loves them so much, they are gone in seconds!
I always make them when I need to make up a batch of our Ninja Foodi Make Ahead Chicken. It has now become something my family expects and they literally stand in the kitchen waiting for them when they hear them being made!

Air Fryer Chicken Cracklings Notes
- We make this recipe with the leftover skin from our Ninja Foodi Make Ahead Chicken. You can make this recipe using raw skin that you cut off of chicken, however, it is much easier to remove the skin from cooked chicken. Crackin’ cooking times will not change.
- We used the air crisp basket in our Ninja Foodi, to make this recipe. However, you can make this with any air fryer.
General Notes
- Looking for more recipes? Our Recipe Finder can help you find exactly what you need.
- Check out all our favorite recommendations for cookbooks, slow cookers and low carb essentials in our Amazon Influencer Shop.
- As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
- Finally, all air fryers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own air fryer and time adjusted as needed.
