    I am really into the rhubarb right now as it is just finishig up….but next it will be gooseberries and later it will be elderberries. Then comes apples and pears….and oh yum!

  13. My favorite dessert ever was my friend’s mom’s Red Velvet cake. She used something like a pound of butter in it–I regret never getting her recipe!

  15. My favorite dessert is a Mississippi Mud Pie. Mom called it a Pie even though it is really a cake. The Chocolate Cobbler from the ‘101 Blue Ribbon Desserts’ looks like it could come in a close second.

    I love Gooseberry Patch books and own several. I would love to add this one to my collection! My fave shown is the choc cobbler. My fave dessert is red velvet cake.

  24. I would say the cherry pineapple dump cake….but I changed the cherry to a can of raspberry pie filling. Fantastic !
