If you love lemon flavoring, this Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread I adapted from Gooseberry Patchโ€™sย Slow Cooker Christmas Favoritesย is for you! I sprinkled just a little bit of powdered sugar on top and it was ah-mazing!

This Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread is perfect for breakfast, brunch or dessert! It may have a few steps to it, but it isn't hard! And the lemon flavor is delicious!

Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread

Ingredients forย Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2-2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • zest of two lemons
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • optional: 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

How to Make Glazed Lemon Bread in a Crock Pot

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together your flour, baking powder and salt and set it aside for later
  2. In a larger bowl, use a mixer to combine your butter and 1 cup of sugar until it is blended really well
  3. Add in one egg at a time, mixing each until they are well combined
  4. Pour half of your flour mixture into your sugar mixture, mixing until well combined
  5. Add in your milk and mix until well combined
  6. Add the remaining flour mixture and mix until well combined
  7. Sprinkle in your lemon zest (and walnuts if desired) and stir gently
  8. Grease and flour a small bread pan that will fit into your slow cooker or a 5 cup glass dish
  9. Spoon your batter evenly into your prepared pan/dish
  10. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours (it is ready when it passes the toothpick test)
  11. Remove your pan/dish from your crock pot and place it on a wire wrack to cool
  12. Mix together your lemon juice and powdered sugar
  13. Poke holes in the bread with a toothpick or fork
  14. Pour your glaze over your bread, reserving any extra glaze to drizzle over individual slices
  15. Slice, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve

  • If you like nuts in your bread, add in the walnuts in step 7. You can sprinkle them on top if that is more to your liking. Or you can leave them out completely. This is your yummy Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread, do what you want!

    Can this recipe be doubled? Also, would it be ok once doubled to put it right into a casserole crock pot to make a lemon cake, or a larger size bread? Looks amazing, thank you!

  3. With your recipe for Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread, don’t you need to put some water in the bottom of your crockpot, so the crock won’t crack?

      I didn’t use any water and didn’t have any problems. If it makes you feel better, you can add a half cup of water to your crock outside of your dish. Enjoy!
