Southern home style cooking…who can ask for more
My Mom’s fresh green beans were the best. She wasn’t the best cook, but she had a way with these beans!
Growing up on a dairy farm where we raised our own beef cattle, pork & chicken as well as fruits & vegetables I can not pick out one dish that says ‘home’ more than another. Anything with fresh strawberries or tree ripened peaches would be close to the top of the list though.
My Mom’s Kentucky Fried Chicken every Sunday after church!
The dish that has always reminded me of home is a Southern dish called Chicken and Dumplings. I remember my Grandmother making this as a child
Southern fried chicken, would be my favorite. My dad was from the south so, southern food was always cooking in our house when I was young.

There are so many, my Mother was such a great cook. I’ll pick meatloaf with mashed potatoes, green beans and cole slaw. Also, I’d like to add that I have followed Mary for a long time and I love her recipes!! I hope to win her book and hope it will be signed by her! Thanks!!

Being from South Louisiana originally, my favorite was my mothers Gumbo (any flavor).

If I have to pick a fav, I’ll pick her Baby Back Ribs, baked beans, and slaw with her Peach Cobbler for dessert!!!
