I love Pork roast and vegetables. My mom used to make it in the oven, would love crock pot recipe
so it could cook while I am at work. How great to come home to meals already cooked.

I remember fried chicken, the best brown soup beans you’ll ever eat, mashed potatoes and homemade cornbread! My most favorite ever! Us kids sit on a long bench at our grandmothers table, locked our ankles together, and swung our feet as we ate. A favorite memory of mine!

The perfect southern dish for me is fresh peas, butterbeans, cream corn, fried okra and sliced tomatoes. Don’t need any meat, just enjoying the vegetables. Maybe some Banana Pudding for dessert.

My Grand Mother’s All Day Pot Roast cooked in a cast iron Dutch Oven. Slow and steady won the race with this dish.

Fresh vegetable dinners, as my cousin called them…fried okra, stewed squash, some kind of peas, sliced tomatoes, mashed potatoes and some kind of meat. All the veggies were from my Dad’s garden and cooked with love by my Mom.
