Cris here. My friends atย Gooseberry Patch recently sent me a copy of their new cookbookย Fresh and Easy Family Meals. And we –of course– just love it so we want to give one to one lucky reader AND ANOTHER to one lucky YouTube subscriber.
While Gooseberry Patch’sย ย Fresh and Easy Family Meals. is NOT a slow cooker cookbook we found that many of their recipes (especially the soups) were easy to convert to crock pot recipes and it was also FULL of great easy recipes that compliment our other crock pot dishes very well. Here is a little taste of a few recipes from the cookbook we tried..
Crock Pot Tuscan Bean Soup– This soup had an amazing flavor and was easily adaptable to our crock pot! It is on our short list for the next time company comes over.
Crock Pot Tex-Mex Salsa Soup– is a delightful twist on your traditional salsa soup! I love when I find a new way to play off of flavors I know my family will devour!
Crock Pot Beefed Up Tacos– Is a crock pot adaptation of one of the skillet recipes in the cookbook. We LOVED how this recipe let us stretch our ground beef to feed more folks.
Easy Salsa Recipeย is not a crock pot recipe but we LOVED this dish! You won’t believe just how easy it is to make this impressive homemade salsa!

The Crock Pot Tex-Mex Salsa Soup looks lip-smacking good! I’m a big fan of bean soups; I suspect this one has a bit of “kick” to it — which I’d really enjoy. In fact, looking at the picture makes my mouth water!
I want to try the Tex Mex Salsa Soup. It sounds yummy, & it’s another easy crockpot soup!

The easy salsa sounds like something I’d like to try. Since I’m a widow, when I cook, I usually share with a neighbor whose husband had a stroke….they seem to enjoy the food I share.
I would love to try the Tuscan bean soup. It looks delicious!
