Slow Cooker Recommendation

For this yummy Pot Roast and Dumplings recipe, I used my 6 Quart Crock Pot with Ceramic Coated Pot. I have found that it cooks evenly and is a snap to clean up, so it is quickly becoming one of my go-to crock pots to use!

Oh my goodness!!! This new pot roast with dumpling recipe is right up there on my on my list of dinners in the my Crock! My husband loves my dumplings when I put them in anything. Thanks for posting this recipe. I use a recipe for my potato soup that my Mom used 50+ years ago. I have to make a triple recipe to satisfy my hubby and our grand-daughter. Look forward to your Crock Pot recipes every day. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I would love to see the potato soup rom your mom to try!

  2. Why is it that I cannot print up the recipes on your website? I have gone to the “Print” section, and it just won’t print. I double checked my printer to be sure that is not the problem, but it is fine. Love your crock pot recipes.

      Hi Helen-
When you go to the print page you will then need to send the page to your printer like you would if you wanted to print another page on the internet. Our print button just takes you to a print friendly version of the recipe. Hope that helps, ~ C

  3. I love receiving your recipes, keep up the excellent job !
Question about this pot roast. The pictures look like the roast may have been browned before putting in the slow cooker but the recipe does not indicate to do so. Plus it’s sitting on the potatoes & carrots, so how did it get those nice browned spots ?
    Thanks !

      Hi Dottie!

I did not brown the roast first. The browning you see is just where the roast touched the sides of the crock…and the same is true for the potatoes and carrots. Enjoy!

  4. Love your site!! I have a question. Have you used the new electric pressure cookers that also sautรฉ/brown and slow cook? I have been considering one, but want to get some more opinions first. Thanks, and keep those wonderful recipes coming!

      Hi Pat-
We don’t use slow cookers with the pressure cooker features mainly because we are cooking for the site all the time and a lot of folks don’t have that option. I do have one that browns and I absolutely love it. Those that I know that have one love it. Best of luck to you. ~ C
