How to Make 4 Ingredient Chicken in a Crock Pot

A little over a year ago, I made 4 Ingredient Crock Pot Pork Chops. It was a huge hit in my house. I knew when we had the pork chops that I would want to try this with chicken to share with you. Somehow, (I am not sure how) I never got around to posting the chicken version of this recipe for you, my dear readers. That was an easy fix though, and I was happy to make this recipe again.
This recipe is super quick to put together. It isn’t technically a dump and go, because you do stir all the soups together before pouring them over your chicken, but it is as close as you can get without it being a true dump and go recipe. It also cooks relatively quickly for a slow cooker recipe. So, it makes it great for when you don’t have time for an all day slow cooker recipe, or if you forgot to throw something on in the morning. (I am guilty of the latter quite often, and I make crock pot recipes for a living! 😉 )
What You Will Need for 4 Ingredient Crock Pot Chicken
Ingredients Needed
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (You can use thighs, but you will want to watch it closely the first time you make it to adjust cooking time as needed.)
- 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 10.5 oz can golden mushroom soup
- 10.5 oz can French onion soup
- Optional: Prepared rice, for serving chicken over
Equipment Needed
- Can opener
- Small stirring spatula
- Medium mixing bowl
- 4 quart slow cooker
- 2 forks
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 5 minutes or less
- Cooking Time: 3 to 4 hours on low or 1.5 to 2 hours on high, rotating your insert halfway through cooking if your crock pot does not cook evenly
- Additional Time: 5 minutes to shred the chicken with two forks

4 Ingredient Crock Pot Chicken
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (You can use thighs, but you will want to watch it closely the first time you make it to adjust cooking time as needed.)
- 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 10.5 oz can golden mushroom soup
- 10.5 oz can French onion soup
- Cooked white rice optional for serving
Instructions
- Place your chicken in the bottom of your 4 quart crock pot.
- Mix together your soups in a medium size bowl and pour over your chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1.5-2 hours, turning your insert halfway through cooking if your slow cooker does not cook evenly.
- Once chicken is done, take two forks and shred the chicken into bite size pieces. If desired, serve chicken and cooking juices over a bed of prepared rice.
