So, I absolutely loved the Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken Penne when I made it. As we are trying to add more options for you guys for our recipes with either Instant Pot or oven recipes, I knew I had to make this Cheesy Chicken Penne oven recipe. Now, whatever your time-frame for cooking, you can have this delicious dish!

How to Make Cheesy Chicken Penne in the Oven
You are going to start this recipe like you do the crock pot recipe. There may be a few steps, but don’t let that scare you away. It really is easy…and super yummy! Pre-heat your oven to 400 while you bring your milk and half-and-half to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat. Take your saucepan off of the heat and whisk in your Mozzarella cheese slowly until melted. Put your cooked pasta, cheese mixture, chicken, salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix well. Spray your 9×13 glass pan with cooking spray. Pour your mixture into your 9×13 pan. Sprinkle your Cheddar cheese and bread crumbs evenly across the top of your mixture. Put your pan in your preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, turning half way through. When your bread crumbs and cheese start to turn golden, it is done.

Cheesy Chicken Penne
Ingredients
- 16 oz box penne pasta cooked and drained
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 2 cups half and half
- 4 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups grilled chicken cubed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 400. While your oven is preheating, bring your milk and half-and-half to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat
- Take your saucepan off of the heat and whisk in your Mozzarella cheese slowly until melted
- Put your cooked pasta, cheese mixture, chicken, salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix well
- Spray your 9×13 glass pan with cooking spray
- Pour your mixture into your 9×13 pan
- Sprinkle your Cheddar cheese and bread crumbs evenly across the top of your mixture

Notes
- You can use as little or as much shredded cheddar and Italian bread crumbs. I tend to like more, so just use the amount that suits your fancy!
- All ovens cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline and should always be tested first in your own oven and time adjusted as needed.
