Made it, it was good, but my
Dumplings were mushy and I cooked them for 40 minutes. Is there anything I can do to help it for next time? Thanks!
Hi Jeanne!
If your dumplings weren’t quite done, I would just cook them for a little longer. Your crock pot might not cook as hot at mine. Enjoy!

Do I cook it the same way if I do it on the stove? ( chicken and dumplings)
Hi Cathy!
I haven’t tried making this recipe on the stove yet. If I did, I would probably cook the chicken in the the broth first, then add in everything else. It would need to boil until the biscuits have plumped up and cooked through. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!

I would rather get a recipe that includes the directions on making my own dumplings than making them out of biscuit dough. I’ve made dumplings in the past that turned out very well but have lost the recipe. Scratch is always better.
Hi Sharon!

We understand that every recipe we make won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Some of our recipes are more complex, while others are useful for busy days where you don’t have a lot of time to prep. This one just happens to be in the latter group. There are so many recipes available online, I hope you find one that you will truly love.

Question: Do I drain the veggies?
Hi Marsha!
Just pour them on in! No draining necessary!

Oh YUM… I know we will love this one!!! What kind of biscuits did you use? Thanks for all you do!! ❤
Hi Kim!
I used my grocery store’s generic brand of the buttermilk biscuits for this recipe. They were awesome! I hope you love it as much as we do!
