How to Make Creamy Mac ‘n Cheese in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
When Cris and I were growing up, Momma would make the most amazing, creamy mac ‘n cheese. It was, and still is, one of my favorite side dishes. There is just something about this that makes it the ultimate comfort food side dish. If you love a delicious, creamy mac n’ cheese, I highly recommend giving this recipe a try!
Any time I make a crock pot recipe with pasta or noodles in it that are cooked al dente before being put into the crock pot, I get asked if the recipe can be made without cooking the noodles or pasta first. We absolutely love the original version of this recipe, so I thought I would try making this Crock Pot Creamy Mac ‘n Cheese without cooking the noodles first. I am happy to let you know that this recipe was a wonderful success!

can I use 3 1/2 cups of shredded cheese instead of velvetta?
I’m not sure how this would turn out with a shredded cheese like cheddar since I haven’t tried it. It would not be as creamy, but it might taste good. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!
