Can I substitute vanilla extract for almond?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Debra!
I haven’t tried it with vanilla extract, but think it would work. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
Enjoy!

1 question Aunt Lou, will the almond flavoring seize up the bark and white chocolate? I know if you get any liquid in the almond bark or chocolate anything it seizes up. This looks easy to make and sounds yummy, might have to make this for my goodie platters for Christmas gifts, thank you have a wonderful Christmas and New Years.
Aunt Lou says
Hi Roxanne!
I didn’t have a problem. I added it in with the M&Ms, replaced the lid while I put my wax paper out, and spread it right out on the wax paper.
Cris and I used to help our mom make goodie platters every year for Christmas! I always loved doing that with them!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

You post some great recipes. Do you, by chance, have a good recipe for white hot chocolate mix that allows it to be made with hot water instead of milk? I love white hot chocolate with peppermint pieces in it but can’t find a good recipe. Any ideas?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Debi!
We don’t have a non-milk one, but here is a link to the one we have: https://www.recipesthatcrock.com/crock-pot-hot-white-chocolate/
