How to Make Easy French Toast on a Blackstone
Aunt Lou here.
I learned as a kid that it was not a good idea for me to order French toast at a restaurant. It never lived up to the deliciousness that Momma served up at home. We camp at our family campground quite a bit when the weather is good, and we love to take our Blackstone with us to camp. It cooks things up quickly, is portable and cleans up so quickly. While Michael usually makes breakfast for everyone, I knew I wanted to make up some of Momma’s Easy French Toast on the Blackstone. It was a huge hit!
You may be wondering what the secret to Momma’s French toast is, so I’ll tell you. (I mean, I did promise I would earlier. ๐ ) It is vanilla. Lots and lots of vanilla extract. I don’t know how to explain to you how amazing this French toast tastes. I can just tell you that I have yet to meet a person who has tried Momma’s French toast and not raved about how great it tastes. Trust me. Just try it. Yum!
One quick note for people who are used to using an electric griddle. Even on low a Blackstone is quite a bit hotter. I had mine all the way to the lowest setting, and this still cooked up my French toast with just 3 to 4 minutes per side.
