How to Make Easy Cheddar Chili Mac in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
I am at it again with this Easy Crock Pot Cheddar Chili Mac! I have honestly fallen in love with the double broiler method. By using this method, you do not have to worry about cheese burning and/or sticking to the insert. You also do not have to worry about the macaroni that touches the insert becoming dried out. This time around I used my 1.5 Quart Casserole Dish as my inner bowl. It was actual perfect! I could take it straight from my crock pot to my table, just like I would when I make something in the oven. The recipe is already in the pretty dish!
When making this dish, you can save some money a few different ways. You can use ground turkey in place of the ground beef. Another way is using generic brands for all the canned goods, seasoning and cheese. You can save just a little bit on each ingredient by doing this, but it can add up. Every little bit helps.
(If you would rather not use the double broiler method, you can find the original version here.)
