Aunt Lou here.
In my town, you know it is Fall when the Persimmon Festival arrives. Well, the Persimmon Festival is here, and it has given me not only a hankering for some Persimmon Pudding but for chili. So when I saw the original recipe in Gooseberry Patch’s 303 ‘Round the Clock Recipes, I couldn’t wait to adapt it to become this Crock Pot Chili Mac Casserole! Yum!

Thank you for your kind comments Caroline! I’m sorry. We do not have a cookbook.
I HAVE PRINTED AND TRIED SEVERAL RECIPES THE PROBLEM IS I HAVE A SLOW COOKER AND THE RECIPES ALWAYS SAY COOK FOR 4 HOURS ON HIGH OR 2 ON LOW. I WORK 10 HOURS AND DO NOT HAVE TIME TO COOK WHEN I GET HOME. I AM LOOKING FOR SLOW COOKER RECIPES THAT I CAN PUT IN WHEN I LEAVE IN THE MORNING AND WILL BE READY (NOT OVERCOOKED) WHEN I GET HOME SO I CAN EAT AND START MY SECOND JOB. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Hi Terrie!
We have a couple of posts that pull together some longer cooking time recipes. I hope these help!

15oz Chili, something like Hormel Chili or Chili Beans?
You are correct TIna. I used a can of chili, not chili beans.
Enjoy!
