Aunt Lou here.

In my town, you know it is Fall when the Persimmon Festival arrives. Well, the Persimmon Festival is here, and it has given me not only a hankering for some Persimmon Pudding but for chili. So when I saw the original recipe in Gooseberry Patch’s 303 ‘Round the Clock Recipes, I couldn’t wait to adapt it to become this Crock Pot Chili Mac Casserole! Yum!

How to Make Chili Mac Casserole in a Crock Pot

Mix together all of your ingredients, except for your mozzarella, in a large bowl. Spread your mixture into a sprayed casserole crock or 6-quart crock pot. Sprinkle your cheese evenly across the top. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.

Crock Pot Chili Mac Casserole Notes

You can use whichever you want. I have tried it with both and enjoyed it both ways. Enjoy!

I HAVE PRINTED AND TRIED SEVERAL RECIPES THE PROBLEM IS I HAVE A SLOW COOKER AND THE RECIPES ALWAYS SAY COOK FOR 4 HOURS ON HIGH OR 2 ON LOW. I WORK 10 HOURS AND DO NOT HAVE TIME TO COOK WHEN I GET HOME. I AM LOOKING FOR SLOW COOKER RECIPES THAT I CAN PUT IN WHEN I LEAVE IN THE MORNING AND WILL BE READY (NOT OVERCOOKED) WHEN I GET HOME SO I CAN EAT AND START MY SECOND JOB. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

You are correct TIna. I used a can of chili, not chili beans.

      Enjoy!

      Hi Karen!

You need to cook 2 cups of dry macaroni to al dente. Enjoy!
