How to Make Easy Tomato Soup in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
The other day one of our readers, Maude L., gave me her recipe for Easy Crock Pot Tomato Soup. I was very intrigued by the simplicity of the recipe. You know how much I love me a good quick and easy recipe, and I was blown away by how amazing the end result was to eat! Don’t get me wrong, I figured it was a good recipe because Maude took the time to share it with me. However, this soup was not just good. It was REALLY good! The spices in the spaghetti sauce give this soup such a delicious flavor.
This recipe is so quick to throw together and quick to cook. It only took my 2.5 quart slow cooker an hour to get everything nicely heated through and the flavors melded together. I know this is not the case for every slow cooker unit out there. Some are not near as hot by an hour into cooking. That is why we always say that the cooking times are a basic guideline and recommend you watch a recipe closely the first time you make it so you can know how your specific slow cooker cooks the recipe. However long it takes your unit, I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I do!

Hi, love to try this recipe, but highly allergic to Parm. cheese. Can I use freshly grated Romano cheese? Thank you.
Aunt Lou says
I haven’t tried this recipe with Romano. I would change the flavor, but might still work well. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!

This is delicious and so simple!
I would love to make this as a double batch but not sure if I could freeze it.
Do you know if it can be frozen?
Aunt Lou says
I haven’t tried freezing it, but think it might work. If you give it try, let me know how it goes!
