Coffee Chat with Cris

Hey Friends-

It has been a difficult couple of weeks but I am trying to get back at this new little e-magazine project. However, before we get this issue started I just wanted to take a moment to let you guys know that our family has so appreciated all your kind notes.

Grief is such an odd process whether it be for the big life losses or the multiple little things each of us have lost during this weird time. However, the one thing it always reminds to do is take stock of the important things in life.

For my family, you guys are one of those important things. You have been so wonderful and supportive. And I just wanted to take a moment to let each of you know we read every comment on the blog and on YouTube it really means a lot to us.

I hope our recipes, videos, newsletters and projects like this weekly e-magazine somehow find a way to encourage you on a regular basis no matter what you are dealing with… because one thing is for certain, we are all dealing with hard things whether they be big or small.

Now how about this week’s issue?

Try This: If You Enjoyed Our Stuffed Pepper Soup, Try This Recipe

If you liked our Slow Cooker Stuffed Pepper Soup, we would recommend that you try another hearty soup recipe that our readers just love. Both of these soups have amazing flavors but are way easier to make than the dishes they are named after.

Reader Questions: What are good ALL DAY recipes for my slow cooker?

Readers often ask me about recipes that are good ALL-DAY Recipes. That is a great question because no all recipes are good to set and forget all day.

If you are wondering why some slow cooker recipes aren’t turning out quite how you would like, you might find my post about How to Fix Common Slow Cooker Issues helpful.

In general beef recipes do about the best with long cooking times, but below are a couple posts we have written to share some of our favorite all day recipes.

Book Nook: What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty

What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty is one of my favorite contemporary fiction reads. This thought provoking story is entertaining, a little mysterious and rich with meaning.

Words of Wisdom: You are Far Too Smart

This has been a long time favorite quote of mine and these days it rings even truer I believe.

Mindset is a huge obstacle when I want to accomplish anything.

Mindset is also the biggest battle I face when I am struggling with change.

This year has been full of obstacles and change that is for sure and I have been thinking of this quote a lot.
