How to Air Fry Frozen Burritos in a Ninja Foodi
Cris here.
When we shared our Low Carb Freezer Breakfast Burritos a while back, a few of our YouTube Community members commented and told us that they enjoyed reheating frozen burritos in a traditional air fryer OR Ninja Foodi using the air crisp feature. I was immediately intrigued! Mainly because air frying a frozen burrito requires a LOT more time than reheating it in the microwave. However, folks shared that the results were ah-mazing so I knew I had to try it.
Air Frying Frozen Burritos
I tested both our homemade low carb freezer burritos AND store bought frozen bean and cheese burritos. The results were incredible! The air fryer creates such a great texture. The outside of the burrito is crispy and flaky while the inside is tender. We will definitely be using this method to cook frozen burritos when we have the time. I love having options!

I would recommend maybe venting the tinfoil. I tried this method and when I unfolded the end of the tinfoil the entire contents of the burrito exploded out the end at me and caused burns.
Hi Kay- I have added your note to the recipe card. We have never had that happen, however, as we mentioned, food will be extremely hot, so using an abundance of caution is always a good thing.
The burrito came out great but unfortunately I lost half of the tortilla due to sticking to the foil. I would recommend using a foil that has non stick spray built in or just spraying the foil before wrapping the burrito.
The side that did come out was crispy and delicious, the meat inside was cooked and juicy.
I’m sorry to hear you lost part of your tortilla Rob! That sounds like a great idea to make sure that doesn’t happen again. I’m glad the other side was crispy and delicious!
