Have you ever wondered How to Make Bacon on a Blackstone? I have you covered. It is my favorite way to make bacon!
How to Make Bacon on a Blackstone
Aunt Lou here.
Confession time. I always dread making bacon. It always seems to take forever to make, and I’m not a fan of cleaning up after. However, I wanted to learn how to make bacon on a Blackstone. I thought I might like it better, and guess what…I do! It was so easy to do and clean up was a snap. This is now my preferred method of making bacon.
I realize that not everyone has a Blackstone XL Meat Press. So, I made part of my bacon with the meat press and part without so I could tell you the timing of both. I preferred using the meat press, but it is possible to make this recipe without it. One tip I saw and tried was to preheat the meat press by having it on the Blackstone as it preheats. I think this was key to cooking up the bacon so quickly under the meat press. When you look at the picture, the flatter pieces of bacon were cooked under the meat press. The darker, wavy pieces were cooked without the meat press.
I would like to make a note that the heat I am using is different than what I have seen from most other people. I only have experience with my Blackstone, but it gets really hot. I did not feel comfortable trying this recipe at medium high heat, which is the heat I found most people using when researching this. Medium low heat worked great on my Blackstone, and cooked my bacon up in the same timing as the people who used medium high heat. You know your Blackstone. So, I would suggest using your best judgement on which heat will work best for you.

Ingredients Needed
- 1 lb regular cut bacon
Equipment Needed
- Tongs

- 22 Inch Blackstone Griddle
- Plates
- Paper towels
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 5 to 10 minutes to preheat your Blackstone to medium low heat
- Cooking Time with Meat Press: 3 to 4 minutes for each batch (All of my bacon was cooked in less than 10 minutes!)
- Cooking Time without Meat Press: 3 to 5 minutes, flip the pieces and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes for each batch

How to Make Bacon on a Blackstone
Ingredients
- 1 lb bacon regular cut, not thick or thin cut
Instructions
- Preheat your 22 inch Blackstone on medium low heat.
- Once a drop of water will sizzle on the Blackstone, lay out the slices of 1 lb bacon across the top of the Blackstone so they are not touching (I had to do 2 batches to cook all my pieces.)
- If using meat presses, gently place the meat presses over the top of the bacon, and let it cook for 3-4 minutes, until bacon reaches desired crispness. If NOT using meat presses, cook bacon for 3-5 minutes on one side, flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until bacon reaches desired crispness.
- Place cooked pieces on a plate with paper towels on top and cover with another plate to keep warm while cooking the second batch.
