How to Make Shrimp Cocktail Sauce Low Carb
Cris here.
I am so excited to share this recipe with you. I have been wanting a low carb alternative to cocktail sauce for years and now we have one! It took Mikey all of ONE DAY being on the low carb train to figure out something I have been going without for years!
Truth be told, I have been cutting carbs in my personal diet for a few years now. But while my family enjoys the low carb dishes I make, they aren’t typically very strict with their own diets.
Recently, Mikey decided to make a change and has been fully committed to the low carb lifestyle. That evening we were having shrimp. For years I have scanned the grocery aisle and always been so disappointed at the carb counts for a lousy tablespoon of cocktail sauce… so I have always went without, even though I love it.
Day one of his low carb change and he tinkers around in the kitchen and comes out with this magical sauce! Did I mention I love that man?!

Shrimp is one of my favorite foods!! 🍤🍤🍤😊 This low carb cocktail sauce is perfect for a diabetic, allowing me to have more. Thank You!!
SO glad to hear that you can enjoy it now too!
Mike & Chris, I love shrimp cocktail too! But being from Texas, I love Mexican Shrimp Cocktail even more. Try your recipe with the addition of a healthy squeeze of fresh lemon, small amount of diced onion, and a little diced avocado. Hit it with a shake of garlic powder – now you’ve got a great Shrimp Cocktail. Of course, we eat it with a side of Tostitos & cold beer of choice. Oh, now I’ve got to go make this!
That sounds fantastic, Charlotte! We will definitely give it a try.
This recipe is a total game changer for me!
