How to Make Red Hots Cider in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
This Red Hots Crock Pot Cider recipe is a tried and true recipe around here. We have been making it for years and years. We all love this recipe, but it is Momma’s favorite. She loves the way that the nostalgic Red Hots cinnamon flavor compliments, but does not overpower, the apple cider. Once the weather turns cool around here, we will have a crock pot of this going every weekend at camp and through the holidays. It has become a family favorite to sip while around the campfire or fireplace.
One great thing about this recipe is that it is so easy to make. It seriously took me longer to get my ingredients and crock pot out than it took for me to put this together in my crock pot. You just pour in your cider and a cup of Red Hots, give it a good stir, cover and let the crock pot heat it up. Twice during the cooking time I usually use a stirring spatula to stir everything and make sure I get all the Red Hots off the bottom of the insert. It is as easy as that!
