How to Make Beef Noodles in a Crock Pot
Updated with video:
Cris here.
When Reames® recently contacted me and asked us to share a recipe using their frozen homestyle egg noodles in a sponsored post, I was so excited. I have loved using their product for years. I just knew we could share something with you guys that was super easy to make at home while having all that taste of homemade goodness that just reminds you of childhood like great comfort food always does… and then it hit me… Slow Cooker Beef Noodles.
Growing up on a beef farm, Slow Cooker Beef Noodles just says home to me. This is especially true as the days get chillier here in Indiana. I LOVE coming home from a long day and being able to to take a fall apart roast from my crock pot that has been cooking all day, shred it and toss in a bag of Reames® frozen homestyle egg noodles (Psst… check out their coupons here) and we have a cozy warm meal.
Reames® makes homemade meals like our Slow Cooker Beef Noodles super easy. You get all the homemade taste without the mess and time to make the noodles. Instead I can just grab a bag from my freezer and toss straight into the slow cooker. An hour or two later, my family has one of our favorite meals that tastes like I have been working away in my kitchen all day long.

chicken and noodles are my favorite comfort food, and when I don’t have the time to make my own noodles, Reames noodles are what my family prefers

A favorite that reminds me of home is 4-cheese pasta! My mom made the best ever that one of the cheeses is sour cream. So rich and delish – memories! I just got a slow cooker and would love to make this – it looks scrumptious!

When I was a little girl my grandmother would make the best noodles and chicken casserole. It was so good I always felt at home and loved her cooking.

I live in Massachusetts and can find no frozen noodles of ANY kind in my grocery store. Could you substitute a pound and a half of dried bagged noodles? Or maybe a different weight? Dunno how to compare, having never seen a frozen (or homemade!) noodle…

Hi Debby-
Does this help? http://www.reamesfoods.com/reames-where-to-buy
Debby says
Ha! I have to admit…I never thought of Walmart, lol. Thanks Cris!

I have only found them at the Super Walmarts and I live in Massachusetts as well. 🙂
Lynn Coffey says
Mom made the best homemade egg noodles. We did not get them often so they were greatly enjoyed when they were. Every Christmas mother also made peanut brittle and fudge. Mom has been gone since 1997 and I haven’t had any homemade peanut brittle since sure do miss them both.

Home made egg noodles are easy to make. I’ve made them since the 70’s. All it takes is all purpose flour and eggs beaten and salt. Mix it up like you are making a pie crust. Roll the mix out as large as you can and then roll the whole thing up in to a log. Add flour to the rolling noodles as you go so it doesn’t stick together. After it’s all rolled up take a sharp thin knife and slice the roll into disks the width you want the noodles to be. Then unroll them and let them lay stretched out until ready to cook them. It helps if you have a couple of girls to un-roll them.:)

Just recently learned of Reames noodles. Am really pleased with the product.
Have only used them for chicken and noodles in the slow cooker, so far.
But, the family was impressed. Our daughter took some into work, and the recipe was given to co-workers. They tried it at home home, and they were impressed as well.
Twila gardner says
Chicken and noodles was my favorite dish at home and these noodles look just like the ones that Mom used to make!
Stacy Maniak says
My favorite dish that reminds me of home would have to be my Mom’s chicken and rice. She made it for my birthday every year, since it was my favorite.
I LOVE Reames noodles, they are the only noodle I’ll use in the crockpot and can’t wait to try this recipe, I’m making it Christmas Eve!
Deanna says
Yum! This looks like the perfect dish to eat on a cold winter evening.
Anne says
Although my mother never seemed to enjoy cooking, she had a few dishes that were delicious and that we all loved. To this day, whenever I make spaghetti with meatballs, I think of her and how good her meatballs were. I try to make mine just like hers, but I don’t quite have it figured out yet. Still working on it, though!
Kim Honeycutt says
Well, this does sound good! My mother was such a great cook it’s hard to pick just one favorite dish that reminds me of home. I guess I would have to say “country style steak” and gravy. When I tried your Crock Pot Cubed Steak with Gravy it was like momma had kissed the pot and made it hers!! I can’t thank you enough for that!!!
Thank you and Reames for the chance to win this gift card!
Merry Christmas 2016
