How to Make Cheesy Ranch Party Mix in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
This Cheesy Ranch Crock Pot Party Mix is a new family favorite around here! I took another of our favorite party mix recipes and kicked it up a notch with some ranch dressing mix. Yum! It is like a party in your mouth!
So, let us talk logistics. Know your slow cooker. If your slow cooker cooks hot, you are going to have to stir your party mix more frequently than if your slow cooker cooks more towards the cool side.
Another thing…I tried something with one of the batches I made of this recipe. I tried melting the butter in the bottom of the crock pot, stirring in the seasonings and then adding in the dry ingredients. Do. Not. Do. This. It ended with a burnt mess on the bottom and some pieces with very little seasoning on them. So, trust me. Follow the directions as they are. That way, you can enjoy this delicious party mix so you can have a recipe that cRocks and not a recipe that flops!
If you want to take some of your extra cheese flavoring and sprinkle it on at the end, I highly recommend it. Yum!
