This Creamy Chicken Spaghetti from Gooseberry Patch’s Everyday Slow Cooker is so easy to make and delicious! The flavors mixed together for an amazing dish! It is perfect for serving a crowd too!
Aunt Lou here.
How easy is this Creamy Chicken Spaghetti to make? Easy enough that the hubs threw it together for me while watching the kids!
Creamy Chicken Spaghetti
I do want to note that I used whole grain thin spaghetti, so your Creamy Chicken Spaghetti may have little different look than mine. Why whole grain pasta?
Why whole grain pasta? I went on a grocery store tour with a Registerd Dietician last year, and she suggested we try whole grain pasta next time we made a pasta dish. I was a little leary, but she gave us each a free box, so I tried it out. Who knew?! It is actually good!
Fast forward to last week, Jay-C had an awesome sale on all of their whole grain pasta! Let’s just say that we won’t need to buy pasta for a while!

Slow Cooker Recommendation
I used my favorite on this one, my good ol’ Hamilton Beach Programmable Insulated Slow Cooker. With all the creamy goodness, I wanted an easy clean up, and you know that is always the case with my fav slow cooker. Your favorite 5-6 quart slow cooker will work too.

Made this for dinner tonight. It was excellent. For the cheese, I used Velveeta Queso Blanco. I had to keep adding chicken broth to keep it creamy. I used a 32 oz carton when all was said and done. Maybe I had too much spaghetti or like I said, maybe it was the cheese. Either way, it didn’t diminish the flavor at all. I’ll be making it again for sure!
Love your recipes, only problem is I am cooking for two, family is grown and it is just me and the wife now, can you put some of your great recipes on line that would be for two. Thank you. PS I try just cutting them in half, doesn’t work well.
Ron,
I’m so glad you like our recipes! We will keep a look out for smaller recipes. In the meantime, if you cut a recipe in half, make sure you use a 3-4 quart crock pot. Cooking them in a larger crock pot will greatly affect the recipe. If you don’t have a smaller crock pot, you can take an oven-safe casserole dish and place it in your larger crock pot so that you will have a smaller cooking vessel. Also, you could make the entire recipe (like our Easy Crock Pot Lasagna) and freeze half…or freeze it in smaller containers for lunch portions. Hope this helps!
Aunt Lou
Thank you, will try both ways.
Just added green beans too make it a more complete meal and it was great. I see the reasoning behind stirring is to mix in the cubed cheese spread. You could heat the “sauce” part in a dutch oven and stir to mix then dump in the chicken and spaghetti before putting iit in the oven.
PS: As I didn’t need the whole thing I froze some for another night.
This does sound yummy but I too would love to see some recipes that you just throw and go. Would also love to see some using uncooked pasta in the crockpot. Thanks for all your ideas. ❤you guys!
Kathy,
We have a ton of dump and go recipes (those are my favorite), you can find them under the “Easy Recipes” tab on the main page or here is the link: http://www.recipesthatcrock.com/category/quick-recipes/
Here are some links that use uncooked pasta:

Try using this recipe with Tyson’s Frozen Roasted Chicken. I have bags upon bags of this stuff and it works really good with all kinds of Crock Pot Chicken dinners. Just saves one more step with busy moms.
Great idea! We LOVE staving steps!
This sounds delicious but the instructions seem to totally negate the advantage of a crock pot meal. Everything has to be pre-cooked. It only cooks for 2-3 hours in the crock and I have to stir it often as well. What’s the point of heating it in a crock pot? Seems much more like an oven casserole dish to me and then I don’t have to stir it while it’s cooking. I will definitely give it a try because the flavors sound great but will just heat it in the oven for 45-50 min.
Hi Pat-
As you might imagine, people come to our site for many different reasons and we totally understand that some crock pot recipes don’t always fit some reader’s needs like they do for others. However, I am sure you can understand that since we are a slow cooker recipe site, we share the slow cooker version of recipes. Regardless, we are glad you have found a way to make the recipe work for you 😉 It sure is yummy!
@Pat Cody – I am one of those that has to use a crock pot at the present time. Also there are more and more of us (including myself) who live the tiny lifestyle. Crock pots are great for us, steps or none.
Would like to see the nutritional content of this
recipe. Thank you!
Hi Brenda-

That looks amazing! I’m making this for Sunday supper this week.
Substituting canned chicken for the chicken breasts would make this a pantry staple recipe, too.
Great idea! Let us know how it turns out!
