How to Make Beef Burgundy in a Slow Cooker
Aunt Lou here.
We were on vacation, and this momma was looking for a simple recipe to throw on while we were at the beach. This Crock Pot Beef Burgundy recipe I adapted from a recipe in Gooseberry Patch’s 303 Round the Clock Recipes was the perfect recipe. It took me less than five minutes to throw together and the crock pot did the work while we played at the beach. Best of all, Michael raved about it and the kids gobbled it up with lots of, “Mom! This is SO good! Can I have more?!” I love a recipe that has my kids eating it up without complaint, don’t you?! I bet you and your family and friends will love this recipe just as much as we do!
Crock Pot Beef Burgundy Notes
- I used my Right Size Slow Cooker for this recipe. I love taking it on vacation because I can take one slow cooker and have a 2, 4 or 6 quart slow cooker all in one! I used it on the 4-quart setting.
- You can choose to serve this over cooked egg noodles or cooked rice. Either would be completely delicious! We loved it over rice!
- I chose a package of already cubed sirloin. However, if you want to buy one that isn’t already cubed, feel free to cube it yourself. It will just a couple minutes to your prep time and will still work wonderfully.

Looks fantastic, I’m going to try it tomorrow when my sirloin thaws. Is two packets of onion soup mix necessary? I’m worried it might come out too salty.
I’m so sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. We don’t always get to respond to comments immediately. I hope you enjoyed this recipe. My family liked it as is, but if you are sensitive to salt, you might try it with just one packet. I haven’t tried it that way, but think it could work. If you try it, let me know what you think.

I made this last night and it was out of this world GOOD!!! Made according to recipe then realized I had some left over fresh mushrooms in the refig. I added them and it was superb. This is a new favorite on our boat. Thank you!
