How to Make Beefy Taco Soup in a Crock Pot

As I am going through old recipes and giving them a try, I saw a delicious soup Cris made many years ago. I decided to give a try and tweak it just a little bit, and now you have this wonderful Crock Pot Beefy Taco Soup. A wonderful thing about this recipe and the original recipe is that it is really easy to put together. If you use our Crock Pot Make Ahead Ground Beef recipe, it makes the prep time even faster.
We always tell our readers to feel free to tweak our recipes to your personal preferences, and that is exactly what I did with this recipe. I did not drain the beans and also added some additional tomato sauce. We loved the results. I hope you and your loved ones enjoy this soup as much as my family and I do.

What You Will Need for Crock Pot Beefy Taco Soup
Ingredients Needed
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
- 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 15 oz can kidney beans, undrained
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 taco seasoning packet
- Garnish: Shredded Mexican, Fiesta or Taco blend cheese and sour cream
Equipment Needed
- Skillet and strainer or micro cooker
- Meat chopper
- Can opener
- Scissors
- Stirring spatula
- 4 quart slow cooker or 6 quart slow cooker
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 to 12 minutes
- Cooking Time: 2 to 4 hours on low or 1 to 2 hours on high, stirring halfway through cooking time and before serving

Crock Pot Beefy Taco Soup
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef browned
- 14.5 oz Can Stewed Tomatoes undrained
- 15 oz Can Kidney Beans undrained
- 1.25 oz Envelope Taco Seasoning Mix
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- Garnish: Shredded Cheese and Sour Cream
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a 4 quart or 6 quart slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-4 hours or on high for 1-2 hours, stirring halfway through cooking and right before serving.
- Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream.
