How to Make Cheeseburger Meatloaf in a Crock Pot

In a large bowl, mix together all of your ingredients except for your cheese and garnish. Press out into a large rectangle on a piece of lightly greased wax paper. Sprinkle on your cheese, leaving a 3/4 inch border all the way around. Starting at one of the short ends, roll up like a jelly roll and pinch each end to close it up. Place your roll in a 6-quart crock pot and press into a meatloaf shape. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours. Garnish with your favorite cheeseburger toppings or eat it as is!

  1. Hi… this looks delicious… my crockpot just died… can this be baked in the oven… if so.. would you know what temp and for how long? thank you.

Oh no! I’m sorry your crock pot died. I haven’t tried this recipe in the oven yet, but we do have a couple other meatloaf recipes for the oven. (I’ll list them below.) If I were to try this in the oven, I would use the same oven temperature and watch it closely to adjust the cooking time as necessary. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!

Sounds delicious. I wonderhow long this would take in an air fryer? Think I would roll up and cut in half and freeze half of it. There are usually only two of us!

Hmmm…I haven’t tried this in an air fryer, but like the idea. I will look into it and see what I can figure out. Thanks for the idea!

  3. Heather Dorris says:

You don’t specify in the instructions whether or not you remove the roll from the parchment paper before placing in the crockpot! Don’t want to screw up the recipe! Please advise!

      Hi Heather!

The parchment paper is to give you a prep area to lay out your meatloaf before rolling the meat up with the cheese inside. After that, you can dispose of the parchment paper. Enjoy!

  4. With the crockpot meatloaf recipes, is the grease an issue? It seems like it would be due to the grease that cooks out and no way to drain it. I just wanted to check before I try it.

      Hi Vanessa!

If you are concerned about grease, I would use a very lean ground beef. That should make sure that grease isn’t an issue. I hope this helps!

  5. I have a big family, can I scale this up by half, so 3 pounds of meat instead of two? I was looking for something different to make, and we donโ€™t own a BBQ grill, so the cheeseburger meatloaf would be appreciated by my family! looks delicious and Iโ€™m hoping to try it today!

      Hi Terri!

If you hover over the blue 6 on the recipe card, you can adjust the servings you need, and the card will adjust the ingredients amounts to what you will need for the servings you need. Just watch it closely the first time you make it to see how it cooks differently. I would also suggest using a 8 quart slow cooker if you have one. Enjoy!

Sounds really good and of course easy with a crock pot. It sounds like left overs would freeze what do you think? And nothing beats a meatloaf sandwich.

      Hi LadyMichigan!

I haven’t tried freezing this, but have froze other meatloaf recipes in the past. If you give this a try, let me know how it goes. And I love a good meatloaf sandwich too!

  8. I can’t rate this yet, but your Cheeseburger Meatloaf looks delicious, as it has two of my favorite foods, combined. I do plan to make it, in the very near future. There is only one thing, can I half this recipe? I am only cooking for myself, and I am afraid it will go bad, before I finish it. I also would like to know what is half of 3/4 cup? I can figure everything else out, except the Italian bread crumbs.

  9. Would love for you to make this one cheeseburger meatloaf been binge watching and listening to the podcast
