How to Make Homestyle Chicken in an Instant Pot
Mix together your flour, dry mustard, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a bowl and coat your chicken. (Reserve excess flour mixture for later step.) Heat oil in a skillet (or use the saute feature on your Instant Pot) and brown chicken on all sides but do not cook through. Mix together any excess flour with broth and pour into Instant Pot. Add chicken and cook on manual for 6 minutes. Let it natural release for 10-15 minutes before quick releasing. Your tenders will be fork tender and your sauce will have thickened.

Linda says
This is delicious! I had 6 large tenders, used the flour mixture and when I added it to the broth only used half the leftover flour. Served it over hot rice and the gravy very pleased with the result.Served a hearty dinner.
Thank you!

My “gravy” came out like paste and tasted like paste too. I followed the recipe exactly as written.
Aunt Lou says
I’m so sorry this didn’t turnout for you Debi! I’m not sure what could have went wrong because it usually produces a thin gravy for me.
