Aunt Lou here.
When I said I was making this Crock Pot Cheesy Ranch Green Bean Casserole recipe that I adapted from a recipe I found in Gooseberry Patch’s 303 ‘Round the Clock Recipes, Michael wasn’t too happy. You see, he isn’t that big of a fan of green bean casserole. However, when I took my first taste of this delicious casserole, I knew he had to try it. As soon as he tried it, his eyes got big with his “This is really good” face. He followed that expression up with saying, “I don’t even really like green bean casserole, but THIS is good!” I’m telling you all this to let you know, this is super good!

Cover and cook on low for 2 hours or high for 1 hour. Sprinkle your French Fried Onions on top. If desired, place your crock (if your crock is broiler safe) in your broiler on high for 30-90 seconds, until lightly browned.

recipe shows 1 can of soup. Notes say to add “soups” so is it 2 cans?
It was a typo in the instructions. I have fixed the error. Hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
How big of a bag of French Fries Onions do I use?
If I double this recipe, do I double the cooking time as well?
Hi Jessica!
I haven’t tried doubling this recipe. If I did, I would use a larger crock pot. With the double ingredients and larger crock pot, the cooking time should be similar. However, watch it closely the first time you make it and allow for the possibility of needing extra cooking time. As for the French fried onions, I usually buy a 6 oz canister and use some, but not all…just as much as you want on the top.
Enjoy!

How many carbs?

Hi Diane!
I have updated the recipe with the nutritional information. Please keep in mind though that this is generated through the ingredients list. We recommend calculating your own number because they can vary greatly depending on the specific ingredients you use in a recipe.
