How to Make Pepperoni Pizza Penne in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

When I have a loved one who is going through something where it would just be helpful for them to not have to worry about dinner, the oven version of this recipe is my go-to recipe. However, when I am just making it for my family, I like throwing on this Crock Pot Pepperoni Pizza Penne. I can throw it together either one to three hours before I need it ready, and I don’t have to worry about making dinner while also trying to juggle all of the chaos that always seems to pop up around dinnertime.

We love this recipe just as it is, especially since we have picky eaters in this house. However, if you want to add mushrooms or olives or some other favorite pizza topping to the mix, that will work too! You can easily customize this recipe so it is just how you like it!

“Why would I even need my crock pot for this?” is a common question I get asked when I make a recipe like this one. The time the recipe spends in the crock pot is like the time it would spend in the oven. The heating of the ingredients for a bit and melting of the cheese just gives all the ingredients a chance to meld together for perfection.
