I made this the other night. We loved it. The gravy is good on mashed potatoes. Will be making it again this week.

Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed this recipe! Thanks for letting us know. It really makes our day!
Ann says
I’ve been making this for years but as others have said, I’m not a fan of mushrooms but I do use the golden mushroom soup (you can’t tell they are even there after cooking). I do do substitute cream of chicken soup for the cream of mushroom, and I use french onion soup as the recipe calls for. It is amazing!
Aunt Lou says
That sounds yummy Ann!
Johnny Jones says
I messed up shopping so had to substitute cream of celery for cream of mushroom and my little grocer did not have French onion soup so used the dried version …. also added red potatoes and it was still wonderful. One day I will get all the correct ingredients and try the recipe as written (except I will still add the red potatoes (they cooked in that soupy sauce and were killer good)
Thank you…tasty enough to make a fat man giggle

Denise Daniel says
Could you use a pork roast?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Denise!
I haven’t tried this recipe with a pork roast. It should work though! Watch it closely the first time you make it to adjust the cooking time as needed. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!

Alisa says
Can you guesstimate the time for a 3.5 lb tenderloin?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Alisa!
I haven’t tried this with a 3.5 lb tenderloin yet, but would start with the 4-6 hour mark. You will want to watch it closely the first time you make it, using a meat thermometer to check it frequently when it is getting close to done. If you do this, then you will know the perfect timing for your particular slow cooker. (I actually recommend this for any recipe you are trying out for the first time!) Enjoy!

Can I use a frozen pork tenderloin?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Lori!
You will want to thaw your tenderloin first. Enjoy!

Jane says
Family is not a big fan of mushrooms. Are there other soups which would work well with this recipe?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Jane!
I am not a mushroom fan either (unless they are morels!), but loved this. I haven’t tried it with any other soups, but if I did, I would probably give cream of chicken and cream of celery a try. Enjoy!

Erika says
Do you leave the soups condensed ?
Cris says
Hi Erika-
Yes. We will always note if the soup needs diluted in any way.
Enjoy!

Hi Pat! If you look on the recipe card, it gives your cooking times and heat settings. For this recipe you cook on low for 4-5 hours.

HOW COME WHEN i COOK PORK IT ALWAYS COMES OUT DRY IS IT POSSIBLE i AM COOKING IT TOO LONG . THIS RECIPE LOOKES GOOD BUT I AM AFRAID OF THE 4 HOURS AM I WRONG.
Aunt Lou says
If your pork is coming out dry, it is likely overcooked. You may want to get a meat thermometer to help the gauge doneness for your slow cooker if it is a repeat issue. Cooking times are always just a basic guide. Every slow cooker cooks differently. A meat thermometer is always the best way to make sure your meat is cooking to the correct temperature.

I have made this recipe and it is wonderful. It is one you will use time and again.
