Crock Pot Sausage Potato Corn Chowder Recipe Notes
- Since there is a browning step in this recipe, we like using our browning slow cookers to save us from washing another dish… because I always make it a point to never do more dishes than I have to! We used our Ninja, but you can check out all our favorite browning slow cookers on this page.
- We like to get precooked real bacon crumbles from the salad dressing aisle of the grocery store to make the bacon step of this recipe a cinch. But, feel free to use regular bacon as well. However you do bacon, I am sure it will be wonderful… It IS bacon after all.

Thank you Cris and Mikey for making not one but 2 of the recipes I have submitted to you! It is so much fun to watch you make and enjoy them. My favorite smoked sausage to use in this is Butterball Smoked sausage…and I was wondering if you added the Tones Lemon Pepper Seasoning when you made yours as I did not remember Mikey mentioning it? It also really makes a difference if you make it again…keep on smiling and sharing great recipes! 🙂
Loved it! Remind me to tell you how to pronounce “Worcestershire” the next time I see you!
I quite often use the real bacon bits/crumbles in place of bacon – much quicker and done! My question is this, what would be the measurement to use comparable to 8 strips of bacon?
I can’t wait to try this soup!
Hi Rachel-
We just toss it in to taste… It is bacon after all… so if a little extra gets in, oops! 😉
