Cris here. My friends atย Gooseberry Patch recently sent me a copy of their new cookbookย Fresh and Easy Family Meals. And we –of course– just love it so we want to give one to one lucky reader AND ANOTHER to one lucky YouTube subscriber.
While Gooseberry Patch’sย ย Fresh and Easy Family Meals. is NOT a slow cooker cookbook we found that many of their recipes (especially the soups) were easy to convert to crock pot recipes and it was also FULL of great easy recipes that compliment our other crock pot dishes very well. Here is a little taste of a few recipes from the cookbook we tried..
Crock Pot Tuscan Bean Soup– This soup had an amazing flavor and was easily adaptable to our crock pot! It is on our short list for the next time company comes over.
Crock Pot Tex-Mex Salsa Soup– is a delightful twist on your traditional salsa soup! I love when I find a new way to play off of flavors I know my family will devour!
Crock Pot Beefed Up Tacos– Is a crock pot adaptation of one of the skillet recipes in the cookbook. We LOVED how this recipe let us stretch our ground beef to feed more folks.
Easy Salsa Recipeย is not a crock pot recipe but we LOVED this dish! You won’t believe just how easy it is to make this impressive homemade salsa!

I love quick and easy, so I will definitely be trying out the Easy Salsa this summer! Thanks for sharing so many great recipes!
Not a big fan of mexican flavors, so of that list I would say the Tuscan soup….but what I really want to make is the S’more Fondu!

Easy salsa, I have to feed a house full of men twice a month. It would be perfect. Besides they are now asking what new recipe I have gotten off your website this week. You would not believe how many hands I have to slap, to keep the crockpot lid closed!
I love old fashioned baked beans but I haven’t tried them in the crock pot. I’m going to now.
