How to Make BBQ Chicken Tenders in a Ninja Foodi with the Air Crisp Function

This Ninja Foodi BBQ Chicken Tenders recipe has been made many times in my house. We can often find chicken tenders on sale at our local grocery store. With this recipe, we can use the chicken tenders and either our favorite bbq seasoning or whatever bbq seasoning we have on hand (we have made it with a variety of bbq seasonings with great results) and have a quick and easy main dish ready to go in less than a half hour.

I love when a recipe has many good qualities, and these delicious chicken tenders definitely do. This is a really cost effective main dish, especially when you can find chicken tenders on sale, since it only has three ingredients. It is easy to throw together and cooks quickly. And last, but most definitely not least, everyone in my home (and I hope yours) loved these, even my picky eater.

This Ninja Foodi BBQ Chicken Tenders recipe is great for when you need a quick and easy dinner. Even better, you can use your favorite bbq seasoning!

What You Will Need for Ninja Foodi BBQ Chicken Tenders

Ingredients Needed

  • 2 lbs chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons bbq seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Cooking Spray

Equipment Needed

  • 1 gallon baggie
  • Measuring spoons
  • Tongs
  • 6.5 Quart Ninja Foodi or 7 Quart Air Fryer
  • Meat thermometer
  • Plate
  • Aluminum foil

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes or less
  • Cooking Time Per Batch: 4 to 5 minutes at 390 degrees, flip your chicken tenders and air fry for an additional 4 to 5 minutes, until the internal temperature of your chicken tenders is at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken Tenders
  • 2 tablespoons your favorite bbq seasoning plus a little more if desired
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
  • Put your chicken tenders in a gallon size baggie, pour in your extra virgin olive oil, close baggie and gently shake the tenders around until all of them are coated.
  • Open the baggie, sprinkle in your bbq seasoning, close baggie, and gently shake until the tenders are well coated.
  • Place 3 or 4 chicken tenders (you want one layer with them not touching) in your Ninja Foodi or 7 quart air fryer. If desired, sprinkle with extra bbq seasoning. (This totally depends on your personal preference.)
  • Air fry for 4-5 minutes at 390 degrees. (The timing will depend on the size of your tenders. If they are smaller, start with 4 minutes. If they are large, start with 5 minutes.)
  • Flip your chicken tenders and air fryer for an additional 4-5 minutes, until the internal temperature of your chicken tenders reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once one batch has completed cooking, place them on a plate and cover with aluminum foil while you wait for the other chicken tenders to cook.
  • Repeat cooking time for remaining chicken tenders.
