How to Make Cabbage in a Ninja Foodi
Cris here.
In last week’s Foodi Friday, I mentioned I was making our tried and true electric pressure cooker cabbage in the background and readers asked me to share the recipe again on youtube.
So, today as a part of our Tried and True series I am sharing a recipe I make several times a month… either in our Instant Pot or Ninja Foodi. This buttered cabbage is so simple to throw together as a side. And, today I am also showing you a great recipe to make with the leftovers too!
“Tried this last night. Came out perfect. Recipe worked perfect. Thanks” – Pamela
Notes on Ninja Foodi Buttered Cabbage (Electric Pressure Cooker)
- We used our 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi with a Stainless Steel insert to make this recipe, but you can use any pressure cooker with a stainless steel OR non-stick pot. (Our original recipe was created for Instant Pot Cabbage.)
- We like our cabbage VERY tender. Your cooking time will depend on your desired texture. We cook under pressure for 8 minutes. If you like a firmer texture, cook for less time.
General Notes
- We’ve tested this recipe in a 6 quart Instant Pot and 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi. When pressure cooking with larger pressure cookers, you may need to add 1/2 cup to 1 cup more liquid to reach pressure. Make sure not to overfill smaller pressure cookers past their max lines.

- As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
- Finally, all electric pressure cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own electric pressure cooker and time adjusted as needed.
