How to Make Cinnamon Rolls in a Ninja Foodi Using the Air Crisp Feature (or an Air Fryer)
Aunt Lou here.
These Ninja Foodi Cinnamon Rolls use regular refrigerated Pillsbury cinnamon rolls (no, this recipe is not sponsored). This is the quickest way I know of to have fresh baked cinnamon rolls in the morning. I realize this isn’t like our normal recipes. It is more a method of cooking something pre-prepared, but it is the only way that I make refrigerated cinnamon rolls anymore. I love it so much that I had to share it with you.
This way of making cinnamon rolls is not just for when you are short on time. I have used this method multiple times while traveling with my family. I love taking my Ninja Foodi with me when we go camping, and it has become my go-to way to make cinnamon rolls. It is just so easy and fast!
What You Will Need for Ninja Foodi Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients Needed
- 12.4 oz canned refrigerated Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, including the icing (You want the tube with 8 regular size rolls in it for this timing, not the tube with 5 grand size rolls in it.)
Equipment Needed
- Parchment paper cut to fit your air fryer, disposable parchment liners or reusable silicone liner (These are the ones I use in my Ninja Foodi.)
- Tongs
- 6.5 Quart Ninja Foodi with Air Crisp rack or 7 Quart Air Fryer
- Plate large enough for all 8 rolls
- Butter knife
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 2 minutes to preheat your Ninja Foodi or Air Fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Cooking Time: 4 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, flip and rotate rolls and an additional 3-5 minutes at 350 degrees (mine are usually perfect at 4 minutes)

- Finally, all air fryers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own air fryer and time adjusted as needed.

Ninja Foodi Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 12.4 oz Pillsbury cinnamon rolls including the icing (You want the tube with 8 regular size rolls in it for this timing, not the tube with 5 grand size rolls in it.)
Instructions
- Place your air crisp plate in your Ninja Foodi.
- Preheat your your 6.5 Quart Ninja Foodi or 7 Quart Air Fryer for 2 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Carefully place parchment paper or liner on the air crisp plate or in the air fryer basket and place cinnamon rolls on the liner upside down, being extremely careful to not touch any metal with your skin.
- Air fry for 4 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Open the Ninja Foodi or air fryer and use tongs to flip the rolls. My Foodi does not cook evenly, and the center roll is always less done than the ones on the outer edge. So, when flipping my rolls, I put the one that is browned the most in the center, and put the center roll in the place of the roll that was browned the most. I also switch the places of other rolls if it looks like any are browned more or less than others.
- Put the lid back on or put the basket back in the air fryer and air fry for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, checking frequently after the 3 minute mark to get them exactly as browned as you prefer. (Mine are usually perfect for my preference at the 4 minute mark.)
- Use tongs to place the rolls on a plate and ice with the icing that came with the rolls.
