How to Make Roast with Gravy in a Ninja Foodi Using the Pressure Cooker Feature
Aunt Lou here.
I live in a rural area that only has a discount grocery store in the town closest to me. So, when I go to buy groceries, I do not always know if what I am planning on using will be available. For example, when I went to the store to buy the ingredients for this Ninja Foodi Roast with Gravy, the store did not have au jus mix. However, they did have brown gravy mix. We gave it a try with the brown gravy mix, and the results were delicious!
I like to use a meat rack when making things like this in the instant pot. It helps to keep you from getting the dreaded burn notice. I just use a couple of oven mitts to lift the roast out on the meat rack and transfer it to a plate or bowl to shred the roast with a couple forks (it is that tender). Once the meat rack is out, you can stir the gravy and spoon it over each serving of roast. As an added bonus, there is plenty of gravy for the roast and to go over mashed potatoes! Win, win!

General Notes
- We’ve tested this recipe in a 6 quart Instant Pot and 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi. When pressure cooking with larger pressure cookers, you may need to add 1/2 cup to 1 cup more liquid to reach pressure. Make sure not to overfill smaller pressure cookers past their max lines.
