How to Make Beef Noodles in a Crock Pot
Updated with video:
Cris here.
When Reames® recently contacted me and asked us to share a recipe using their frozen homestyle egg noodles in a sponsored post, I was so excited. I have loved using their product for years. I just knew we could share something with you guys that was super easy to make at home while having all that taste of homemade goodness that just reminds you of childhood like great comfort food always does… and then it hit me… Slow Cooker Beef Noodles.
Growing up on a beef farm, Slow Cooker Beef Noodles just says home to me. This is especially true as the days get chillier here in Indiana. I LOVE coming home from a long day and being able to to take a fall apart roast from my crock pot that has been cooking all day, shred it and toss in a bag of Reames® frozen homestyle egg noodles (Psst… check out their coupons here) and we have a cozy warm meal.
Reames® makes homemade meals like our Slow Cooker Beef Noodles super easy. You get all the homemade taste without the mess and time to make the noodles. Instead I can just grab a bag from my freezer and toss straight into the slow cooker. An hour or two later, my family has one of our favorite meals that tastes like I have been working away in my kitchen all day long.

My fave Mom’s comfort food meal was ,and now pined for, homemade stuffing. My mom cobbled three recipes together to make it, and never told us HOW to do it, so I’ve had to guess at it over the years…..:(
My mom passed away in 2007, and I wish I had paid better attention for when she had me help her cook….:(

I have to admit I have tried a few recipes and they are delish (as the hubs would say!). Love raemes noodles and they are great in Chicken Noodle or Turkey Noodle or anything that requites a noodle. My favorite meals that says home comfort food is Chicken Noodle soup. My Grandmother used to make that and chicken in a cast iron skillet with gravy over the chicken .. Yummy …
Thanks for putting all your recipes out in cyberland and thanks for a chance to win !!

Hey Cris, a couple of questions on the beef and noodles recipe. If I wanted to half the recipe, should I still use the same amount of liquid because of the noodles? Also, is the “gravy” it makes thin or thick ? Can I thicken it up if I need to and is that what the yogurt is for ?
thanks and I hope you and the family have a very Merry Christmas !
Cris says
Hi Chris!
It thickens over time (next day) due to the starch in the noodles. The Greek yogurt just adds a slight tangy flavor (think stroganoff). If you’d like it thicker to begin with you might add a little of the liquid to a tablespoon or two of corn starch to make a slurry and then stir in and cook on high until it thickens. As for cooking half the recipe, if you use half the noodles, half the liquid should be fine. Enjoy!
