Every year I look forward to when Gooseberry Patch puts out their fall and Christmas cookbooks. I love them. They are a part of preparing to bring in a new season. So, I am always excited to get my copy… so it should shock you that I loved this cookbook.

But.

I have an unusual excitement about this year’s books.

Why?

Both the fall and Christmas books are dedicated to… drum roll please….

And for a certain gal I know that runs a website dedicated entirely to ways to crock the pot, these books are like little treasure troves of fantastic recipes to keep me crockin’ for months!

  6. The Spinach Artichoke dip. Its hard enough to get my husband and son to try new things, but they finally gave in to this dip and I would love to try this recipe so we can snack on it during football games on Sunday this Fall.

    I’d love to make them all but would start with the Extra Cheesy Mac & Cheese – that’s one of our grandkids’ favorites along with us, of course. The next one I would try would be the Spanish Rice.

    You made this a most difficult choice, but I’m going to go with the Spinach Artichoke Dip. If I win the book, I’d cook up a batch of it to share with my daughter while we plan a month of menus using this fabulous book. Thanks for giving us a chance. We live in Maine and our crock cooking gets us through the cold days. We recently discovered how to wake up to hot and creamy apple/cinnamon oatmeal in the crock pot so you might say we are looking forward to fall.
