I’m not a big fan of cooking, especially in summer, but the recipes I’ve gotten from Recipes That cRock have made it so much easier. I don’t have to use the oven & heat up the kitchen, so that’s a lifesaver for me. I don’t dread making dinner now ! Love the recipes & am glad I found this site & signed up.

My fave for summer is chicken and dumplings with lots of veggies in the crock. Totally complete and totally tasty without ever turning on the stove or oven when it’s hot.

Ribs in the crock pot are simply the best! Put them on, let them cook all day, put them under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, and you’ll never cook them on the grill again!
Sandra Crane says
I love Crock Pot Roast, just add roast, potatoes, onions, carrots, and Lipton onion soup mix. Perfect every time!

I like pulled pork or chicken in crock but then finishing off in my smoker for an hour to add smoked flavor is one of my favorite summer meals. I did just try you bourbon chicken and it may be moving to the top of my list.
Gina Perez says
Our favorite summer meal idea is probably shredded meat in crockpot. While the pressure cooker is nice, meat still comes out more tender in crockpot. Once it’s shredded there’s all kinds of meals we can make from it.
Donna says
I think pulled pork cooked in the crock pot is a good one to have during the summer. Then, it can be reheated and used in other ways so that the kitchen stays cooler.
Lynn Coffey says
I have enjoyed reading other peoples slow cookers recipe likes. I recently cooked the green beans, potatoes and smoked sausage recipe. Yummy as always.

We enjoy a Mexican type dish..We call it Fiesta Chicken, I add black beans, chicken stock and corn plus onions, a trio of peppers, garlic and taco seasoning to the crock pot..I cut the tomatoes up ahead of time and assemble after the chicken mixture is done..always have sour cream, salsa and shredded cheese on hand…usually have some of the chicken mixture left over and it freezes nicely..It can even be served over rice, for a bit of a different meal – next time…I really enjoy your newsletter & videos…

I love using the crockpot. So easy to put in the ingredients and continue on with your day. Great to have dinner ready when you are. Summer meals are light and tasty. Anything quick and easy is great. Summer calls for hot dogs and hamburgers. Any recipes that include them are so good.

This year we have been trying new crock pot recipes just to change things up. Sometimes it feels like we fix the same things over & over. My favorite things to fix in the crock pot are pork ribs or a pork butt for pulled pork. These are always a big hit with the family and so easy to cook.
