How to Make The Best Chili in a Slow Cooker

Aunt Lou here.

Years ago, one of our reader, Julie, sent us her chili recipe. It had an ingredient that I had never thought of using in chili before, refried beans. Ever since I made it the first time, I have called this The Best Slow Cooker Chili. It is just so flavorful, meaty and delicious!

I know that whether chili has macaroni in it or not is a big debate. If you grew up in southern Indiana or anywhere else that always has macaroni in chili, you can always add some to this recipe. My southern Indiana family loves it both ways. If you don’t put noodles in it though, you can freeze any leftovers if you do not need as many servings. However, this chili is delicious as leftovers too.
