How to Make Vanilla Sour Cream Cake in an Oven
Aunt Lou here.
This Vanilla Sour Cream Cake recipe is just over the top good. The addition of the pudding mix, white chocolate chips and caramel topping at the end (if you want to top it with the caramel topping) is just amazing! This cake was an instant hit with my family when I made it in the crock pot. It went over just as well when I made it in the oven! Divine!
When you are making up the batter for this recipe, it has more liquid in it than a regular cake. Don’t worry. Also, when you go to check it, it is going to be jiggly in the center. I checked it every 5 minutes towards the end and it was perfect at 40 minutes exactly. Your oven may be different. Watch it closely the first time you make it so you will know how your oven does with this recipe. Also, the top is going to be golden with some darker brown areas. It is okay. I promise, it is going to taste wonderful!
