Mine is cooking as we speak. I tried searing it first cause I like the outside with a bit of crisp. It smells real good in my house. I will keep you posted.
Absolutely love your recipe. On my next meatloaf I substituted the pound of hamburger with a pound of mild sausage. Added another layer of fantastic taste and aroma.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I love your variation of the recipe. Sounds yummy!
This was the first time I’ve ever made meatloaf. It was fantastic! I’ll definitely make that again. What can we use in place of the beefy mushroom soup, in case I can’t find it next time?
I’m so glad you enjoyed it as much as we do! I think a comparable substitute would be golden mushroom soup. I haven’t tried it with this substitute, but think it could work. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
My new meatloaf recipe!!!
So glad you enjoy it!
Hi there…in place of ground beef would ground chicken or turkey suffice?
Hi Darrin!
I haven’t tried this recipe with ground chicken or ground turkey, but think it could work. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!

Best meatloaf ever!
I’m so glad to hear it Jerry! We love this recipe too!
This meatloaf is so tasty. Used 90% ground beef, so it wasn’t greasy. We will making this again and again.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it Annette! Thank you for taking the time to let us know! We love hearing when our readers like a recipe we post!
This recipe sounds great & i would like to make it-
but i cannot find “beefy mushroom soup” any where.
All i can find is golden mushroom soup- or cream of mushroom soup.
would either one of these work in the recipe ?
Hope to hear back soon……… Audrey
Hi Audrey!
I haven’t tried this recipe with golden mushroom soup, but think it could work. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!

I had a terrible time finding that soup also. Found it at Walmart on the clearance shelf.
I have never been a real meatloaf lover because they normally seem dry to me. And I have never had a brown gravy meatloaf. So I was on a mission to find a moist meatloaf. This one hit the spot. I did add reg onion (in place of the minced onion), bellpepper, mushrooms amd carrots. My husband loved it, as did I. It was so moist. This is a recipe we will keep.
Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed this recipe! Everyone needs a favorite meatloaf recipe! lol
I have ally been experimenting with making meatloafs various ways for years and this was the first recipe that my husband of 18 years has ever told me (and he loves my cooking) “ I love this recipe this is now the only meatloaf you can make”. It was truly wonderful , I thought it was great too.
That’s awesome Penelope! I will let Momma know her recipe is a hit at your house. Thank you for taking the time to let me know. We love hearing from our readers. It always makes my day!
