How to Make Garlic Chicken and Green Beans in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
One of our Crock Posse Members, Doreen M., mentioned on the video for Cris’ How to Cook Fresh Green Beans in the Crock Pot recipe that she added chicken to hers. I thought that sounded pretty good! However, I didn’t have access to fresh green beans. So I took my favorite canned green bean recipe (the ones that remind me of Gramma’s house when I was a kid) and added chicken and some garlic. The results? DEEEEELICIOUS!
Now, with the chicken cooking with the green beans, it isn’t the prettiest recipe I have ever made. Do not….I repeat….do not let that turn you away from this recipe. I absolutely love this recipe! It has a great taste and makes your house smell wonderful as it is cooking.
I also love that this is ALMOST a one-pot meal that is made all in your crock pot. The fewer dishes the better if you ask me! All you need is a salad and maybe a dinner roll, and you have one yummy dinner!

Had great flavor but cooking time was way to long for chicken breast cubes. Next time I’m going to use boneless skinless thigh meat and brown them in my Ninja crock pot first. Will definitely make again. I also used extra garlic only because we love it so much.
The cooking time worked well in our crock pot, but we know that all units cook differently. That is why we always say: “All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.” I hope you find the perfect cooking time for your particular unit and am glad you enjoyed this recipe!
