How to Make 3 Ingredient Roast in a Ninja Foodi Using the Electric Pressure Cooker Function
Aunt Lou here.
This 3 Ingredient Ninja Foodi recipe is one of the easiest recipes you can make. We knew we would love the flavor because we loved the original recipe that was made in the crock pot. This time I made it with a bottom round roast instead of a chuck roast. Honestly, this decision was made because this was the cheapest roast at my grocery store. However, it ended up being a nice way to see how the same ingredients turn out with different cuts of meat. The bottom round roast gives you a sliceable roast, while the chuck roast is going to give you more of a fall-apart result. Both are delicious and juicy. It really comes down to your preference on whether you want your roast to be sliceable or not.
(Psst…If this recipe sounds great to you but would rather use your crock pot, you can find the slow cooker version of this recipe here.)
What You Will Need for 3 Ingredient Ninja Foodi Roast (Electric Pressure Cooker Recipe)
Ingredients Needed
- 3 lb beef roast (A bottom round roast will give you a sliceable roast while a chuck roast will fall apart more easily.)
- 1 oz brown gravy packet
- 1 oz ranch dip mix packet
- 1 cup water
Equipment Needed
- Small mixing bowl
- Fork or small whisk
- Stirring spatula
- Ninja Foodi trivet
- Metal bowl that will hold all the ingredients and fit in your Ninja Foodi with the pressure cooker lid on while sitting on the trivet
- 1 1/2 cups water (to go in the insert, not in the bowl with the ingredients)
- 6.5 Quart Ninja Foodi or 6 Quart Electric Pressure Cooker
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cooking Time: 60 minutes on high, plus 15 minutes of natural release before doing a quick release
General Notes
- We’ve tested this recipe in a 6 quart Instant Pot and 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi. When pressure cooking with larger pressure cookers, you may need to add 1/2 cup to 1 cup more liquid to reach pressure. Make sure not to overfill smaller pressure cookers past their max lines.
