Poor Man’s Crock Pot Beef Manhattan
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef browned and drained
- 2 oz gravy mix (2 – 1 oz packets)
- 2/3 cup water
- 6 cups mashed potatoes
Instructions
- Mix together your gravy mix and water
- Combine your gravy with your ground beef until all your beef is evenly coated
- Evenly spread your ground beef mixture across the bottom of a lightly greased 6-quart slow cooker
- Spoon your mashed potatoes evenly across the top of your beef
- Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2 hours

Are the mashed potatoes just cold cooked mashed potatoes?

I haven’t ever tried it with cold but think it might work. I usually just make up some mashed potatoes as part of my recipe prep. If you give it a try with cold mashed potatoes, let me know how it goes!
