How to Make Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops in a Slow Cooker
Aunt Lou here.
This recipe is another from the recipe gold mine that is Momma’s mind. She is amazing at coming up with a recipe out of the clear blue sky and hitting it out of the park! This recipe gives you fork-tender pork chops that are super juicy with a flavor that is divine! And, we can’t forget…bacon! I mean, come on! Bacon is a fabulous addition to this dish. Yum! I can’t wait for you to try this recipe!
This recipe uses boneless pork chops. If you are not able to find boneless pork chops, a great money saving tips is to buy a tenderloin and slice it into the size of chops you need and/or want. For this recipe, we used chops that were about an inch thick.
When this recipe is done, some of the fat will float up to the top. I skimmed it off the top gently before I removed the pork chops and placed them on the baking sheet. Speaking of the baking sheet, using parchment paper will make cleanup easy!
The broiling step is one you don’t want to skip unless you don’t have an oven available. It crisps up your bacon and adds a great texture to your dish. When I use my broiler, I always use the “Pop a Squat and Watch” method. I turn on the stove light, sit down and watch it constantly until it is ready.
This recipe is really good with just the cooking juices drizzled over top. However, if you would like to have gravy with these yummy chops, use the cooking juices (instead of water) with a gravy packet. It is a delicious addition to this recipe!

Your recipe is a little confusing for the cook times in the recipe under the times at the top you call for 8 hours on low but in the directions you call for 10 to 12 hours, could you tell me which one is correct?
Aunt Lou says
Sorry about that Ken! We had a glitch. I have corrected the recipe card. My slow cooker took about 8 hours to cook this recipe. However, as we always say, all slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed. Enjoy!

I’m going to use golden mushrooms soup instead
Raymond says
Can I use just a plain old cream of mushroom soup?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Raymond!
I haven’t tried it that way.The consistency of the soups are different. So that substitution will change the consistency and taste of the recipe, but it might work! If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
