Budget Meal Plan

Meal Planning on a Budget

Aunt Lou here.

This week for Budget Meal Plan: Week 43 we are going to enjoy some delicious soups. While not all soups are not budget friendly, the soups I have picked out for this week are easy on your bank account. As an added bonus, these recipes are pretty easy to throw together and taste amazing.

When looking for the soup recipes this week, I looked at more than just how many different ingredients were in each recipe. I looked for recipes where at least most of the ingredients were lower cost items. Another thing I looked for were recipes that had ingredients that I keep on hand. For instance, I almost always have chicken broth, canned beans, flour and milk in my house.

While I love all the recipes I post, because I am not going to post a recipe for you, our dear readers, that I have tried and not liked a whole bunch, there are some recipes that just pop out for my specific tastes and become a personal favorite. The recipe for Friday’s soup is one of those. I have made this soup in my crock pot and on my stove top countless times. I hope one of these recipes becomes a favorite in your house!

If you want some help making a menu this week and saving money, I hope this Budget Meal Plan: Week 43 helps you out!
