Meal Planning on a Budget

Aunt Lou here.

It is time for Budget Meal Plan: Week 46. This week we are going to use what sounds like a very simple idea. We are going to use cheaper ingredients. I say it sounds very simple because there are times that it may seem like not so easy a task when trying to find recipes. I keep a pretty close eye on the prices of what I buy at the store, so I am going to make this easy for you by picking out a full week’s worth of recipes that have ingredients that are either all lower cost or are mostly lower cost.

Here is a bonus tip. If you there are sales going on at your local grocery story that make other ingredients cheaper for you to purchase than what I have in this menu, you can always use our Recipe Finder to search for recipes that use specific ingredients. This is the tool that I use when creating menus or when trying to figure out what I can make that my picky eater will eat. I find it so incredibly helpful, and I hope you do too!
